The Basehor-Linwood Bobcats will square off against the West Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Basehor-Linwood has four straight victories, West has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
It was a proper cat-fight when Basehor-Linwood faced off against De Soto on Friday. The Bobcats managed a 42-38 win over the Wildcats. The game was the first time the Bobcats have beaten the Wildcats on their field since October 5, 2018.

Basehor-Linwood had a senior duo take command as Carson Dixon threw for 314 yards and four TDs and Nash Morrison picked up 154 receiving yards and four scores. With that strong performance, Morrison is now averaging an impressive 100.5 receiving yards per game.
Basehor-Linwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 205 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, West ended up a good deal behind Lansing on Thursday and lost 36-20.
Basehor-Linwood will need to focus on slowing down Nasir'E Williams-Brown, one of several West players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 71 receiving yards and one score. Josiah Wilkie was another key player, throwing for 261 yards and a pair of TDs.
West's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Basehor-Linwood, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Basehor-Linwood has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 211.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for West, though, as they've been averaging only 96.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Basehor-Linwood against West in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 59-6 win. In that contest, the Bobcats amassed a halftime lead of 24-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
