After only one run in their last contest, Arlington made sure to put some runs up on the board against Aquinas on Saturday. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Monarchs 10-8. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Monarchs, too.

The team relied heavily on Savannah Lang, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Lauren Pittman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Arlington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Arlington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Aquinas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Arlington is set to square off against their familiar foe Ashland-Greenwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Aquinas will face off against rival Yutan-Mead at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
