Aurora waltzed into their contest on Sunday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Barberton Magics a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Greenmen have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

Noah Bolbach was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Bolbach wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Slisz, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that Slisz has hit this season. Another was Elijah Shim, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Aurora's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Barberton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Aurora will challenge Stow-Munroe Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last six games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Barberton, they will face off against Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
