Baseball Game Preview: Midland Timberwolves vs. St. Bede Bruins

The Midland Timberwolves will challenge the St. Bede Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Midland is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Midland couldn't beat Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn on Tuesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 7-6.

Midland saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Call, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Waide Yarger was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for St. Bede's offense. They fell 5-0 to Putnam County on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Bruins were not able to get on the board.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for St. Bede, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
