Basketball Recap: Summerville Bears vs. Calaveras Red Hawks

Summerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Calaveras Red Hawks 50-21. The Bears were down 39-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Calaveras found their leader in sophomore Emma Clark, who went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Clark is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. As for Calaveras, they will venture away from home to take on Big Valley Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Calaveras is facing Big Valley Christian at the right time seeing as Big Valley Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
