Basketball Recap: Canoga Park Comes Up Short

Canoga Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 74-21 loss at the hands of the Sylmar Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-7 two weeks ago.

Sylmar got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella Gonzalez out in front who posted 28 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gonzalez has scored at least a third of Sylmar's points. Another player making a difference was Yaneli Zuniga-Hernandez, who scored 24 points.

Canoga Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Sylmar, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

As of now, neither Canoga Park nor Sylmar have any future games scheduled.
