Softball Recap: Kearney Triumphs

Kearney's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Bellevue West Thunderbirds. The win continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won three in a row.

Kearney got a massive performance out of Kennedy Lee, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave Lee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Jacobsen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Kearney's victory bumped their record up to 25-11. As for Bellevue West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-21.

Kearney wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bellevue East on the 8th. As for Bellevue West, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-8 win against Grand Island on the 8th.
