Atkinson County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Brooks County Trojans with a sharp 13-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-4 last Tuesday.

Jack Tillman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Atkinson County let Jovi Meeks and Aidan Meeks run wild. Jovi scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3, while Aidan scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Jovi has posted over his last 11 matchups. Another player making a difference was Bryce Clement, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Atkinson County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Atkinson County's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Brooks County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
