Show Low's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 28-21 to the Round Valley Elks. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Even if they lost, Show Low's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Zander Perez, Dax Clark, and Talen Slone, who each picked up one sack apiece. Cameron Hernandez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Show Low's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Round Valley, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
