Baseball Game Preview: Springboro Panthers vs. Butler Aviators

The Springboro Panthers will square off against the Butler Aviators at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Springboro 3, Butler 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Thursday, Springboro had just enough and edged out Fairfield 5-4. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, Butler faced Archbishop Moeller in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Aviators fell 6-2 to the Fighting Crusaders. The Aviators haven't had much luck with the Fighting Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Springboro pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.25 runs across that stretch. As for Butler, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-5.
