Preview: Linden Lions vs. Bear Creek Bruins
Linden has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Linden Lions and the Bear Creek Bruins will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
Linden suffered their biggest loss since January 2nd on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 45-23 defeat at the hands of Chavez. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Linden in their matchups with Chavez: they've now lost eight in a row.
Bear Creek can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took down Weston Ranch 57-41.
Linden's loss was their tenth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-21. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.8 points per game. As for Bear Creek, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9.
Things could have been worse for Linden, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-36 loss to Bear Creek in their previous matchup on January 9th. Can Linden avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
