Dynamic duo of Tessa Wolfe and Madelyn Weaver lead Boyertown to victory

Recap: Boyertown Bears vs. Upper Perkiomen Indians

The Boyertown Bears had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 47-22 margin over Upper Perkiomen. The victory was just what Boyertown needed coming off of a 46-22 loss in their prior match.

Leading Boyertown to victory were Tessa Wolfe and Madelyn Weaver. Wolfe scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Weaver scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Heacock, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Upper Perkiomen lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Erin States, who scored eight points. That was a full 36.4% of Upper Perkiomen's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Boyertown's win bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Upper Perkiomen, their defeat was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Boyertown will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. As for Upper Perkiomen, they will head out on the road to take on the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
