Preview: Classical Academy vs. Foothills Christian
Classical Academy is 9-0-1 against Foothills Christian since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Classical Academy Caimans will head out on the road to challenge the Foothills Christian Knights at 6:00 p.m. Classical Academy will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
Classical Academy can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over Bishop's.
Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Foothills Christian were a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Pacific Ridge. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Foothills Christian couldn't quite close it out.
Classical Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4-4 record this season. As for Foothills Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-3 record this season.
Everything went Classical Academy's way against Foothills Christian when the teams last played back in January as Classical Academy made off with a 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Classical Academy since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
