Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Renaissance Academy's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Renaissance Academy rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 48-39 win over the Calvary Christian Academy Cougars. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Cougars back in January, they had to take a 42-29 loss.

Renaissance Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dallis Stewart out in front who went 5-for-7 en route to 16 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. What's more, Stewart also posted a 71% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Aniyah Jones was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 17 rebounds.

Renaissance Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Calvary Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 16-6.
