Softball Recap: Wilcox County Now 11-2 over Last 13 Games

It's playoff time, and Wilcox County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They skirted past the Bowdon Red Devils 9-8. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by just one run.

Wilcox County is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Bowdon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15.

Looking ahead, Wilcox County will challenge Washington-Wilkes at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bowdon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
