            Softball Recap: Cedaredge Bruins vs. Aspen Skiers        
        
		
        
        
            Cedaredge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Aspen Skiers get on the board and left with  an   18-0  win. The Bruins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Skiers, too.
 Tia Homedew made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs.
 In other batting news,  Kimbry Hebert was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Brylee Perry, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with four  RBI and one  run.

 Cedaredge was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Cedaredge's victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bruins beat Aspen by a score of  17-0 later that day.
