Baseball Recap: Creekside Christian Academy Starts Season with Victory Against Central Georgia Arts

Creekside Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on Central Georgia Arts with a sharp 9-3 victory. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Central Georgia Arts, too.

Justus Smith and Brady Mccadden made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Smith tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Mccadden pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest earned runs Smith has posted since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Smith scored two runs and stole one base while going 2-for-2, while Mccadden scored a run and stole one base while going 2-for-3. That's the most innings Smith has posted since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Nehemiah Lymon was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing one base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Cal Kennedy, who scored a run and stole one base while going 1-for-2.

Creekside Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-0 win against Abundant Life Christian Academy on the 6th. As for Central Georgia Arts, they will be playing at home against Cherokee Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
