Basketball Recap: Betsy Brennan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bedford County CIA over Great Commission

Bedford County CIA lost against Great Commission back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bedford County CIA Agents fell just short of the Great Commission Bears by a score of 29-26.

Bedford County CIA's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Betsy Brennan, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Brennan has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassia Gorczyca, who scored two points and five steals.

Great Commission can attribute much of their success to Alexa Hall, who had ten points along with five steals and five blocks. The dominant performance gave Hall a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Sophia Fleck, who earned four points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Bedford County CIA now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Great Commission, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.

Bedford County CIA wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 30-7 victory against Champion Christian on the 25th. Great Commission does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
