Volleyball Recap: Monte Del Sol Charter Takes a Loss

Monte Del Sol Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

While Monte Del Sol Charter was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Oak Grove Classical Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-8, 25-13.

Monte Del Sol Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monte Del Sol Charter will host Jemez Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Socorro at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
