Basketball Recap: Blair County Christian Takes a Loss

Blair County Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 27-22 heartbreaker at the hands of DuBois Christian. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Blair County Christian still got an impressive performance from Gabi Dull, who posted 11 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Dull has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Makayla Huston was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

Even though they lost, Blair County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 21 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Blair County Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for DuBois Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Blair County Christian will challenge Calvary Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blair County Christian's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so Calvary Baptist Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. DuBois Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
