Softball Recap: Iberia Rangers vs. Dixon Bulldogs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iberia). Everything went their way against the Dixon Bulldogs on Thursday as they made off with an 8-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

Jaylyn Piggott made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
