Football Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for West Branch

The West Branch Bears got the win against the Anamosa Raiders on Friday by a conclusive 23-3. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

West Branch pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.5 points over those games. As for Anamosa, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Branch will venture away from home to challenge Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Comets have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups. As for Anamosa, they will square off against Alburnett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
