Soccer Game Preview: Pebblebrook vs. Dalton

The Pebblebrook Falcons will face off against the Dalton Catamounts at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pebblebrook's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Saturday, Pebblebrook came up short against Norman North and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Pebblebrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 39th in Georgia, while Norman North are ranked first in Oklahoma).

Pebblebrook's goal came courtesy of Daniel Motino, who's now up to eight this season.

Meanwhile, Dalton put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Northwest Whitfield get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Dalton were the better team in the second half.

Dalton pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six games. As for Pebblebrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-1.
