Baseball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View lost against Mill Creek last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears lost 16-4 to the Hawks. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nick Clayborn made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Parker Lee was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Mill Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View will take on Newnan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mill Creek, they will face off against Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hawks 3.3, the Bulldoggs 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
