Cairo has gone a perfect 4-0 against Miller County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Syrupmakers are taking a road trip to face off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Cairo came up short against Thomasville on Thursday, falling 15-3.

Meanwhile, Miller County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to Marion County.

Miller County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cairo, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cairo came out on top in a nail-biter against Miller County in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Syrupmakers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
