Basketball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Takes a Loss

Bald Eagle Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 55-45 to the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 60-33 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Bellwood-Antis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lilly Gerwert, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. Gerwert is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games she's played. Leigha Clapper was another key player, putting up 12 points and six assists.

Bald Eagle Area's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Bellwood-Antis, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

As of now, neither Bald Eagle Area nor Bellwood-Antis have any future games scheduled.
