Basketball Recap: Elk Creek Falls Despite Big Games from Kaydence Reagan and Makena Felipe-Mitchell

Elk Creek was the 28-26 winner over Princeton when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Elk Creek Elks came up short against the Princeton Eagles on Tuesday, falling 47-22. The Elks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elk Creek's loss came despite strong showings from Makena Felipe-Mitchell and Kaydence Reagan. Felipe-Mitchell posted four points and five steals, while Reagan had six points and three steals. Reagan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Wanhene Pete, who put up four points and three steals.

Elk Creek now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Princeton, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Elk Creek will face off against Plumas Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Princeton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-9 victory against Paradise Adventist Academy on the 9th.
