The Whittier Christian Heralds will be playing at home against the Santa Fe Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Santa Fe took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Whittier Christian, who comes in off a win.

Whittier Christian put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 69-36 win over Valley Christian. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-8.

Whittier Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jatniel Cabrera, who scored 17 points along with five steals. Cabrera has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zoe Sanborn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Santa Fe suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against California, falling 62-34. While losing is never fun, Santa Fe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 693rd, while California is ranked 275th).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Emily Collins, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Natalie Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Whittier Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Santa Fe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
