Central typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Northside proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Lions 4-3. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Chris Biggs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

Biggs wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Clay, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Northside's record is now 22-7. As for Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-9 record this season.

Northside will welcome Carrollton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
