Soccer Recap: Montgomery Comes Up Short

After flying high against O'Farrell Charter last Thursday, Montgomery came back down to earth. The Montgomery Aztecs fell just short of the Southwest SD Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Aztecs couldn't quite close it out.

Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Southwest SD, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery will challenge Sweetwater at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest SD, they will take on Hilltop at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest SD is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
