Football Recap: Northwest Takes a Loss

Northwest lost against Valley back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mohawks and the Indians were almost perfectly matched up, but the Mohawks suffered a 21-20 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Northwest lost, don't look at Jake Brown. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 25 yards and one touchdown.

Northwest's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3. As for Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Northwest will head out to square off against Vinton County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley, they will host Portsmouth West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
