Softball Recap: Christian Heritage Comes Up Short at Home Against Southeast Whitfield County

Christian Heritage unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 8-4 to the Southeast Whitfield County Raiders on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Southeast Whitfield County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Trion at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they will take on Cass at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colonels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
