Softball Recap: Eaton Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Eaton faced Palmer Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Reds were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bears. The Reds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Kenzie Braddy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paige Hofer, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Isabella Ramsey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Palmer Ridge, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.
