Basketball Game Preview: Parkway West HOYAS vs. Thomas A. Edison Owls

The Parkway West HOYAS will challenge the Thomas A. Edison Owls at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Thomas A. Edison took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Parkway West, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Parkway West got the win against Maritime Academy Charter by a conclusive 45-21.

Meanwhile, Thomas A. Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 52-17 loss at the hands of Science Leadership Academy at Beeber. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Rockets are ranked 188th).

Parkway West will have to contain Destiny Speach as she made an impact in Thomas A. Edison's last game. She posted nine points. That was a full 52.9% of Thomas A. Edison's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Parkway West's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Thomas A. Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
