Baseball Game Preview: Treutlen Vikings vs. Telfair County Trojans

The Treutlen Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Telfair County Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Treutlen will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Treutlen had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Wheeler County on Monday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Bulldogs. Considering the Vikings have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Acie Dickens was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with seven RBI, one run, and one double. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. Michael Boone was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple.

Meanwhile, Telfair County earned a 7-3 win over Hawkinsville on Friday.

Treutlen's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Telfair County, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Everything went Treutlen's way against Telfair County in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Treutlen made off with a 9-1 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
