Softball Game Preview: Parkview Panthers vs. Norcross Blue Devils

For the first time this season, Parkview will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the Norcross Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Parkview is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Loganville on Monday. They fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Norcross had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 19-0 shutout. That looming 19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Devils yet this season.

Norcross now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Parkview, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Parkview took their victory against Norcross in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
