Soccer Game Preview: Taft vs. Wasco

The Taft Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Wasco Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Taft is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Taft faced off against McFarland on Friday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wasco, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Chavez with a sharp 4-1 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for Wasco, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Chavez with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Giselle Torres (2), Ofelia Martinez, and Arianna Bernal.

Wasco's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Taft, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Taft came up short against Wasco when the teams last played back in February of 2025, falling 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
