Softball Recap: Calvin Comes Up Short

Calvin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bowlegs Bison. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bison this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-8 loss back in August.

Calvin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Bowlegs, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.

Coming up, Calvin will head out to square off against Graham/Dustin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowlegs, they will challenge Paden at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
