Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Huntington Park

The Roosevelt Rough Riders will venture away from home to challenge the Huntington Park Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roosevelt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

Roosevelt is headed into the contest without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Legacy 2-1.

Valerie Segura was the driving force of Roosevelt's attack as she scored both of Roosevelt's goals, bringing her season total up to 29 goals.

Meanwhile, neither Huntington Park nor Garfield could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Roosevelt pushed their record up to 13-0-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. With that draw, Huntington Park's record moves to 4-10-3.

Roosevelt skirted past Huntington Park 3-2 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roosevelt since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
