Asheville Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They took down Legacy Early College 60-43. For Asheville Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 74-40 victory Legacy Early College walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.

Despite the loss, Legacy Early College still got an impressive performance from Lance Barnes, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 21 points and three steals. Barnes has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. R'Javion Booker was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Legacy Early College and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Asheville Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-62 win against Cary Academy on the 15th. As for Legacy Early College, they are taking a road trip to square off against Keenan at 2:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
