Soccer Recap: Thursday's Win Is Christopher's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Christopher kept a clean sheet against Evergreen Valley on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Evergreen Valley Cougars 1-0. Given Christopher's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Evergreen Valley is ranked 471st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christopher's one-goal win came courtesy of Michelle Espinosa, which was the first she's scored this season.

Christopher has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. As for Evergreen Valley, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-5.

Christopher didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Silver Creek on the 21st. Evergreen Valley has also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Ann Sobrato on the 21st.
