Softball Recap: East Buchanan Takes a Loss

East Buchanan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the Central City Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Thursday.

East Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Central City, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-11.

Coming up, East Buchanan will face off against Marquette at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Defenders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Buccaneers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central City, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-2 win against Iowa City West on the 20th.
