Basketball Game Preview: Campolindo Cougars vs. Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles

Campolindo is 2-8 against Clayton Valley Charter since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Campolindo Cougars will face off against the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Campolindo is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 77-31 loss at the hands of Acalanes. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-13.

Meanwhile, Clayton Valley Charter entered their tilt with Foothill on Saturday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They took their game with ease, bagging a 61-22 victory over the Falcons. The Ugly Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Clayton Valley Charter is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Campolindo, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Campolindo was able to grind out a solid win over Clayton Valley Charter when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 55-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campolindo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
