Soccer Game Preview: Exeter vs. Washington Union

The Exeter Monarchs will square off against the Washington Union Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Exeter is headed into Friday's following a draw, the team's first since January 14. Neither they nor Kerman could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Washington Union has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 14. They came up short against Kingsburg on Wednesday, falling 5-0.

With that draw, Exeter's record moves to 10-5-3. As for Washington Union, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15-5.

Exeter beat Washington Union 3-1 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Exeter since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
