Volleyball Recap: Southwest Victorious

Southwest won the last time they faced Purdy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Trojans came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 23-25, 25-15.

Emma Outhouse had a dynamite game, getting 16 digs and two aces. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

Outhouse wasn't the only good servers: Southwest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.

Southwest's record is now 10-16-3. As for Purdy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Southwest will take on Hurley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Purdy, they will challenge Sheldon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
