Basketball Game Preview: Kane Wolves vs. Johnsonburg Rams

Kane is 9-1 against Johnsonburg since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolves will square off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Kane ended up a good deal behind Elk County Catholic and lost 48-33. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Kane saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Haight posted 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Haight's 17th in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Casey Wymer, who put up seven points.

Meanwhile, Johnsonburg came up short against Ridgway on Wednesday and fell 42-32.

Johnsonburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Kane, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Kane got the 'W' when the teams last played back in December of 2025 against Johnsonburg by a conclusive 48-22 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
