Soccer Game Preview: St. Francis vs. Del Oro

The St. Francis Troubadours will take on the Del Oro Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

St. Francis took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Whitney. Given the Troubadours' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Wildcats are ranked 424th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Francis hit Whitney with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sara Ellis, Marissa Ow, and Miley Blough.

Meanwhile, Del Oro hasn't lost a match since December 3, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They and Davis Sr. finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.

With that draw, Del Oro's record moves to 8-1-4. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 10-5-4.
