Soccer Game Preview: Franklin County vs. Rabun County

The Franklin County Lions will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Rabun County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Franklin County is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They came up short against Cedar Shoals on Tuesday, falling 7-2. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

As for Rabun County, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (9-6), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.

Franklin County beat Rabun County 2-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Franklin County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rabun County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
