Basketball Recap: Moniteau Takes a Loss

Moniteau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 45-23 to the Karns City Gremlins. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-5.

Despite the defeat, Moniteau saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emily Matz posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Moniteau's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Karns City, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Moniteau didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-12 victory against Johnsonburg on the 13th. As for Karns City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-17 win against North Clarion on the 13th.
