Softball Recap: Stroud Comes Up Short

Stroud blew Wellston out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Wellston got their revenge. Stroud fell just short of Wellston by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Stroud has suffered since August 19th.

Stroud's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Wellston, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stroud will take on Newkirk at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wellston, they will challenge Depew at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
